Face time. Sometimes there is simply no substitute for it.
So, with that in mind Gerber took to the mean streets of Manhattan, long renowned as the media capital of the world, earlier this month for a series of meetings with press to showcase our latest and greatest gear and talk about the direction of our storied brand.
With such variety in New York, we were able to meet with key players in mainstream media outlets like Maxim Magazine and the venerable gear factory that is GearPatrol.com, as well as tried and true outdoor contacts at the Bonnier Corporation, home to Field & Stream, Outdoor Life and SHOT Business magazines.
Early returns are in and looking good with quick shout outs via Maxim online for the new Dime Travel and this Instagram post by Outdoor Life featuring our new Span multi-tools.
Of course the deeper thread that runs through our visit to the big city is the relationships built and nurtured with media by taking the time to drop in, catch up and help support them as they've supported us. A great trip and while we came in from points west, we left in a decidedly Empire state of mind. Onward!
