Gerber announced today a partnership with Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, a leading non-profit that advocates for the protection of public lands, water, and wildlife. Gerber will join as a platinum level sponsor.
“Gerber has been a longstanding advocate for sportsmen & women, conservation and the environment” said Andrew Gritzbaugh, senior vice president and general manager at Gerber. “BHA’s mission to protect public lands aligns closely with Gerber’s purpose. The brand aims to further enable the positive change BHA and its locally-driven members are having on key issues, like maintaining and growing access to public wilderness and water.”
The partnership includes advocacy of key initiatives as well as product donations to support membership growth and chapter level events. Core products include Gerber’s assortment of Vital Series lightweight hunting kit, new adventure angling gear, backcountry cooking & eating equipment and US made folding knives.
Gerber will also be supporting Hike to Hunt, an effort by BHA to encourage sportsmen and woman across the country to join together to hike in local areas with the goal of encouraging comraderie and exercise on America’s public land. The event series will be kicked off in Boise, Idaho at the 2019 BHA Rendezvous, the largest gathering of public lands sportsmen and sportswomen on the continent.
